The Boy Without a Name

Children's book based on a folktale from the Sufi oral tradition of Afghanistan, retold by Afghan author and sufi philosopher Idries Shah. Watercolor illustrations by Mona Caron, published by Hoopoe/Malor Books, 2000. ISBN 1-883536-20-0

In recent years, this book has has also been made available in a bilingual Spanish/English edition, and a Dari/Pashto edition has been widely distributed to schools in Afghanistan by Hoopoe's "Books For Afghanistan" program (see photos at bottom.)
