This watercolor was first used as a book cover for Critical Mass: Bicycling's Defiant Celebration, edited by Chris Carlsson, published by AK Press, 2002.
In the years since, it has been picked up as a poster for events promoting the bicycle for everyday transportation in dozens of cities across 4 continents. Here are a few examples:
