Sonchus Oleraceus

This one was loosely based on a sonchus oleraceus I found growing in the neighborhood.

I liked painting on the raw, bunker-like cement for contrast with the painted life form.

This space is now open as Equator Café, with the same manager who used to serve coffee at Trailhead, the former Luggage Store Gallery temporary annex and community sowing workshop, where I had painted a collaboration with graffiti artist APEX.
