Aster in Asheville

Found this little Aster weed growing behind Spagnola and Ishmael's studio in Asheville, North Carolina.

Across the street from them, on the wall of Collapsible Recording Studios, I made it grow larger. I had a late start, so I painted two, three, four leaves and then it got dark. So it goes. It probably works the same way in with all urban weeds: few specimen will grow to their fullest, if the spot is still claimed by humans. But even if they just manage to put out a single leaf, they are pretty heroic considering their odds.
