Projections + live painting with Rupa & the April Fishes in Greece and India

I went on tour with my friends, the band Rupa and The April Fishes, in their Occupy Everywhere tour to Greece and India,  contributing visual elements to the shows in the form of background projections of my artwork, and live on-stage painting.

At their concert for the World Public Forum "Dialogue of Civilizations" in Rhodes, Greece, I projected slowly zooming and panning paintings of mine, which moved and blended with the scenic courtyard of the archeological museum within a former castle of this easternmost island of Greece.

The tour went on to India. At the Blue Frog Club in Mumbai, India,  the projections were more kaleidoscopic in style...

 

On the same tour, I painted live at the autonomous social center Nosotros in theExarchianeighborhoodof Athens, Greece.

The next day, we did one of my weed stop-motion animation on the roof terrace of the same venue, which is part of the mural-animation project featured in my video WEEDS. This particular plant also appears as a cameo on the April Fishes' music video for the song "Weeds".

On the same tour, we also created a weed animation in Ahmedabad, India, also included in WEEDS.
